I’ve read The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz multiple times. It’s not just one of my favorite books but also a global bestseller that has inspired millions.
Over the years, I’ve always kept a rough mental recap of its key lessons. But here’s the catch: every time I thought of sharing its insights with others—whether through a blog or a video—it took me hours to structure my thoughts and create something polished.
Then came AI.
I’ve been experimenting with various AI tools in my spare time, and today I decided to test an idea: Could I create a professional-quality book review video—one that used to take 4-5 hours—in just a fraction of the time using AI?
The challenge was set. And I’m thrilled to share the final result here:
What do you think? It may not be the most professionally crafted video, but it demonstrates that even a novice can now create a functional video in no time!
Let me now walk you through, how I brought it to life, step by step, using ChatGPT, Pictory, Sora and Adobe Express.
The Exact Prompt I Used in ChatGPT to write the Script
To generate the script, I typed the following exact prompt into ChatGPT first to get a good prompt:
Act like a famous content writer and write a prompt for youtube video script of the recap of the book "magic of thinking big" in a an engaging, storytelling manner for the tech professionals. Prompt should have this as well - Write lessons only from chapters 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 as 5 lessons. Also I want you to write the script for the summary video, only generate the script, do not add your comments, or tags like [start] I just want the script and that is it, only text, nothing else. MAKE SURE that you make important keywords of the script bold, by adding a bold effect to highlight them. Every sentence must be put in one line, so put every sentence of the script in a separate line.
Then, I put in cleaned prompt generated by ChatGPT back to ChatGPT –
Write an engaging YouTube video script that recaps the book The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz, specifically tailored for tech professionals. Use storytelling and real-world tech-related analogies to make the script relatable and impactful.
Focus on lessons from chapters 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8, and consolidate them into five key lessons.
The script should: Start with a powerful hook that grabs attention, addressing common challenges faced by tech professionals (e.g., career stagnation, burnout, or self-doubt).
Present each lesson clearly, with actionable insights that technology professionals can apply to their careers.
Include engaging stories, examples, or dialogues to bring the lessons to life.
Make important keywords or phrases bold to emphasize them.
Structure the script so that each sentence is in a separate line, making it easier for narration or visuals.
Avoid comments, instructions, or tags like [music] or [start]. Deliver only the script text in response.
The tone should be motivational, storytelling-driven, and conversational, engaging tech professionals who aspire to grow their careers and overcome challenges.
Do not add any personal remarks or formatting instructions outside of the script. Only deliver the fully written script based on the provided requirements.
ChatGPT delivered an engaging script, structured with clear lessons and tailored to my audience—technology professionals. I did some minor edits to it. It looked something like below –
Do you ever feel like you’re stuck in your tech career, unable to break free and achieve your big goals?
What if the secret isn’t more skills or tools, but the size of your thinking?
Let me tell you a story.
Ravi, a senior developer at a tech firm, had been in his role for five years.
He was brilliant with code but felt stuck—like no matter how hard he worked, others were climbing the ladder faster.
One day, his mentor said, “Ravi, you’re solving small problems because you’re thinking small.
What’s the biggest problem you can solve?”
That conversation changed his life.
He picked up The Magic of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz and realized the problem wasn’t his skills—it was his mindset.
Today, Ravi leads a team of 50 engineers and is working on cutting-edge AI solutions.
So, how can you achieve the same transformation?
Here are five powerful lessons from the book that can unlock your potential.
Lesson 1: Cure Yourself of Excusitis, the Failure Disease
Excuses are the enemy of progress.
In tech, it’s easy to fall into traps like “I’m too old to learn this” or “I don’t have the right degree.”
Schwartz calls this Excusitis, and it’s one of the biggest barriers to success.
I remember a colleague, Priya, who once said, “I can’t transition into AI because I don’t have a background in data science.”
But then she asked herself, “What if I stopped making excuses and started finding solutions?”
She enrolled in an online AI course, spent weekends learning, and within a year, she transitioned into a new role in AI development.
The key takeaway?
Replace your excuses with actions.
If you’re saying, “I don’t have time to learn AI,” ask yourself, “How can I make time for it?”
Excuses will always keep you in your comfort zone.
Action is what gets you out of it.
Lesson 2: Think Big
This is the core of the book—big thinking leads to big success.
In the tech world, the biggest breakthroughs often come from people who dream bigger than others.
Think of Airbnb.
Its founders didn’t just think about renting rooms—they reimagined how we travel.
Think about Elon Musk.
He didn’t stop at building electric cars; he’s working on colonizing Mars.
When I started my career, I used to focus on solving immediate problems—fixing bugs, optimizing code.
But the moment I started asking, “What can I create that changes how people work?”, my career trajectory shifted.
I moved from being a coder to a leader.
If you’re solving small problems, you’ll get small results.
But if you aim to revolutionize your field, your results will reflect that ambition.
Ask yourself, “What’s the biggest problem I can solve with my skills?”
Lesson 3: Manage Your Environment: Go First Class
Your environment shapes your growth.
Schwartz says, surround yourself with high achievers and ambitious people.
Think about this: If you’re in a room where everyone is comfortable with mediocrity, it’s hard to push yourself.
But if you’re surrounded by people who are constantly innovating, you’ll be inspired to do the same.
I once joined a group of tech professionals who were constantly exploring the latest trends—AI, blockchain, Web3.
Their energy was contagious, and it pushed me to upskill myself and think beyond my current projects.
In tech, this could mean attending conferences, joining innovative teams, or finding a mentor.
When you go first class in your environment, you elevate your standards and unlock greater potential.
Lesson 4: You Are What You Think You Are
Your mindset defines your identity.
If you see yourself as “just a coder,” that’s all you’ll ever be.
But if you start to see yourself as a leader, a visionary, or an innovator, you’ll begin to act like one.
Let’s go back to Ravi.
After reading this chapter, he started introducing himself as “a problem-solver in AI” rather than just “a developer.”
That shift in how he viewed himself pushed him to take on more challenging roles.
Schwartz says, “Think big, and your actions will follow.”
Upgrade the way you see yourself, and you’ll start noticing opportunities for growth and leadership.
Lesson 5: Use Goals to Help You Grow
Clear goals turn dreams into reality.
Schwartz believes that specific, ambitious goals drive success.
For tech professionals, this might mean mastering a new skill, leading a project, or even starting your own business.
Let me give you an example.
Arjun, a data engineer, wanted to transition into machine learning.
His goal was clear: build a portfolio of three ML projects in six months.
Every week, he worked on small tasks that added up to his larger goal.
Write down your goals, make them measurable, and track your progress.
Goals give you direction and keep you focused on what truly matters.
Conclusion
These five lessons from The Magic of Thinking Big aren’t just ideas—they’re tools.
Tools you can use to supercharge your tech career, overcome doubts, and achieve greatness.
So, what’s stopping you?
Replace excuses with actions.
Think bigger than you ever have.
Surround yourself with growth-oriented people.
Upgrade your mindset, and set ambitious goals.

Remember, think big, act bold, and achieve more.
Bringing the Script to Life with Pictory
Next, I turned to Pictory for video creation. This is where magic begins.
Here’s how I used it:
- Uploading the Script: I copied the ChatGPT-generated script directly into Pictory’s platform.
- Automatic Scene Creation: Pictory broke the script into individual scenes and suggested visuals for each part. For instance:A stressed-out developer for “Excusitis.”Futuristic brainstorming visuals for “Think Big.”
- Customization: I fine-tuned the visuals, added transitions, and adjusted the timing to ensure the video flowed seamlessly.
In less than 20 minutes, I had a video that looked professional and engaging.
Again did some minor adjustments and then downloaded the video to upload in YouTube.
I tried OpenAI’s Sora’s Storyboard feature as well and gave the book review script to it and it instead generated and image like below. I still need to figure out if Sora can generate such videos or not.

Designing the Thumbnail with Adobe Express
For the thumbnail, I tried generating directly from ChatGPT, but didn’t come out as I was looking for, here is one of the version it generated. As you can see its aspect ratio seemed distorted, I tried getting it corrected with prompt but then it was giving a square image and lots of blank spaces to accommodate to YouTube thumbnail’s dimension.

So finally I relied back on my favourite Adobe Express to create something visually striking.
- Book Cover Integration: I uploaded The Magic of Thinking Big cover and made it the centerpiece.
- Bold Text and Vibrant Colors: I added text like “Think Big” and “Transform Your Tech Career” in bright, contrasting colors.
- Tech-Inspired Background: Using Adobe’s templates, I incorporated futuristic graphics to align with the video’s theme.
The final result? A clean, professional thumbnail ready to grab attention.

Publishing and SEO Optimization
For the YouTube upload, I gave ChatGPT another prompt to generate optimized titles, descriptions, and tags.
"I have just created a video that recaps The Magic of Thinking Big book in 5 minutes for technology professionals. Generate a viral YouTube video title, description with hashtags, and tags syntax compliant to be copy-pasted directly onto the YouTube uploader, so please generate these for me, and the tags must not have hashtags."
Here’s what it came up with:
