Imagine this: You’re knee-deep in your career, navigating the twists and turns of the tech industry. You’ve worn many hats, from .Net Architect to Data Architect, Java Architect, Enterprise Architect, Tech Co-Founder to Head of Technology. But amidst the hustle, there’s a whisper in the wind—Artificial Intelligence (AI). It’s the future, they say, but it feels distant, lurking in the shadows. And I didn’t want to be left in the dark.
And Professor Richard Baldwin famously remarked, “AI won’t take your job, it is somebody using AI that will take your job.”
These words struck a chord within me, stirring a realization that I needed to adapt to the winds of change blowing through the tech industry.
Life has a funny way of nudging us towards our destiny when we least expect it. Two months of paternity leave and one month of sabbatical from Adobe in 2023 provided me with a rare opportunity to pause, reflect, and reevaluate my relationship with AI. Armed with determination and a thirst for knowledge, I enrolled in PGP in AI for Leaders from The University of Texas at Austin and Great Lakes Institute of Management.
Those weekends? Forget leisure. They were dedicated to learning AI, with my wife and family graciously supporting me through the late nights and early mornings. It wasn’t easy, juggling work and learning, but it was worth it.
Fast forward to today. I hold in my hands not just a certificate, but a symbol of perseverance and growth. From understanding AI through data to grappling with neural networks and deep learning, I’ve unlocked a world of possibilities.
To my esteemed peers and mentors, your encouragement and guidance have been invaluable. Your insights have fueled my curiosity and empowered me to push the boundaries of my knowledge.
